Postal 2 AWP Service Patch

I thought I released this before, but apparently I didn’t. This new patch for Postal 2 AWP includes two new difficulties, three new cheat codes, and some other stuff…

Nightmare Mode
Nightmare Mode is the next step above They Hate Me. In They Hate Me, everyone hated your guts and would try to kill you, but only certain people had guns… in Nightmare Mode, EVERYBODY has a gun (like in Hestonworld) and hates your guts (like in They Hate Me). So you’re running around dodging gunfire all the time. But there’s more… All those fast food bags and donuts and pizzas you like to carry around? Well, you can’t carry them around any more. You have to eat them on the spot. You can still keep your health pipes, though. And last, but not least, in case you thought about abusing the save button… you can only save once per level. That’s it. That doesn’t include the autosave either, but it means you can’t go around spamming quicksave and expect to survive.

Really Fucking Hard Mode
And if Nightmare Mode isn’t tough enough for you, try this level. This difficulty level is even harder than Nightmare, and it combines all of the conditions of Nightmare with the overpowered weapons from Insane-O. So you’re not running around dodging gunfire — you’re dodging gunfire, rockets, grenades, molotov cocktails, and even the occasional mini-nuke. If you can clear this difficulty level without cheating, you are a true Postal 2 god (or goddess).

School Level
The school map now plays a bigger part in your quest. On Wednesday, voting day is no longer held at the Cock Asian — you’ll have to go to the school to cast your vote. By the way, the school has a strict zero tolerance policy on weaponry, and they enforce that with a metal detector…

Three new cheat codes
HereKittyKitty — Gives you a cat launcher!
AntiBullet — “Anti-bullet time” speeds things up a bit.
Goodies — Shows the location of powerups on your radar.

And the little things
Little things like the characters looking a bit different each time you start a new game. Certain things happening in areas where they don’t normally happen. And an easter egg that’s damn near impossible to find.

Doki Doki banner
SINGLE: (2/4/5/7/8) DOUBLE: (4/5/7/8) SOLO: (3/5/7/8)

Yeah, you heard me right, SOLO steps. With special thanks to Özgür, who did all the solo steps, the Beginner steps, and even three bonus Single edit stepcharts. Of course, I did all the other charts. It wouldn’t be a Kamek Original otherwise.

I tried out the Doubles steps in the arcade today, and I think I did a fairly decent job with them. Or at least a grecent job. Yes, I said in the arcade. I freakin’ love (Open)ITG.

Anyway, what can you expect? I’m not going to spoil it here, so just click the banner to download it and see if it was worth the wait. Feel free to leave flaming sacks of crap at my doorstep if you’re disappointed.

P.S.: I put an Easter egg in the Single and Double light, standard, heavy, and challenge charts. They all occur at the same place in the song. Free cookie if you can find it.

EDIT: It occurs to me that it’s kinda stupid to have Hanna in the background when the singers were actually Veronica and Malin (not Hanna). Oh well. Maybe at some point I can obtain a higher-resolution version of this.

The Doki Doki stepfile is ready for release!… almost. I just have to test the doubles charts in the arcade. Which will be tomorrow.

So if all goes well I’ll have the file up tomorrow so you can finally download it.

(Note to self: never again advertise a simfile in advance)

For all you Smile fans, two big updates on their latest album.

The digital download version is now available on iTunes. 99 cents a track, or 9.99 for the whole album. (Full details)

The CD version of the album has been delayed until October due to a problem with the CD manufacturer. However, Smile has released the first track, Doki Doki, for free, as an apology for the delay. (Full details plus Doki Doki download)

Power is kind of spotty at my house, since we’re running on a generator, but I will get the final version of the Doki Doki simfile out to you come hell or high water. As a special treat, Ozgur has produced Solo steps for Doki Doki, as well as an alternate set of light/standard/heavy steps. Those will be included with the full download… when it’s done. Sorry I don’t have a set date for you. We just got hit by a hurricane, throw me a frickin bone here. :B

For those of you who don’t know, I live in the Houston area, which has just been devastated by Hurricane Ike. As a result, I probably won’t be updating this site much for awhile.

You can see some pictures I took of the aftermath here.

Catch You, Catch Me (Para Para Mix)

Now updated with doubles steps. Fixed up the Single Challenge steps a bit too, so they flow better. New Single Beginner and Single Basic steps, too. The old Single Basic steps are now edit steps called “ParaPara”, as they were originally intended to follow the para para dance video that goes with it.

Download here.

I’ve decided to hold off on the full release of this simfile until after the official release of SMiLE.dk’s new album, Party Around The World. In the meantime, you can enjoy the Single Challenge steps by downloading here. Don’t forget to pre-order their new album! You can do that on Amazon.com.

And finally, some edit steps for Walkie Talkie, in StepMania .edit format. They’re ITG-style, with some hands here and there. Rating 9. Download here.

New stuff coming soon, I promise. I just haven’t had time to work on anything lately.

In the meantime, check out nDDRo’s latest release. Titiln, Ken, and a bunch of Ken’s friends got together to produce a fan mix called DDRMAX 3. 78 songs. They really went the extra mile with this one, all the songs have a FULL set of stepcharts, including doubles, and the songs even have background videos! Check it out, it’s too sweet (sorry, had to throw that in there).

coming soon, maybe

Catch You, Catch Me (Para Para Mix)
I’ll be re-releasing this one soon with doubles steps. I’m doing a BG animation for this one, and was wondering what you guys would prefer… and by “you guys”, I mean those of you who actually give a shit about this StepMania stuff.

First option: random videos, which I used in AM Radio. Second option: a BG animation script using background videos from DDR Extreme. Third: use the title sequence from the show, and finally: just slap in the video with the two parapara dancers demoing the parapara dance for the music.

Golden Sky
SINGLE: (1/4/6/7) DOUBLE: (4/6/7)

In the “it’s about fucking time I updated this thing” department, here’s an update to my Golden Sky simfile. I was rather excited when I found out that Golden Sky was on DDR SuperNOVA… and when I played it I was extremely disappointed. The cut sucked and the steps were rather bland.

The Kamek Originals Cut is 1:48 long and continues past the first chorus, instead of repeating it a billion times. This update includes a Beginner chart and doubles charts, which more or less follow the same basic rhythms as the single charts. I stuck with OGG encoding for the song, for those of you who like to use ITG2’s custom song feature.
